Extra-padded for true seating comfort

This is what sets my sheepskin chair cushions apart. Virtually all sheepskin chair cushions on the market are nothing more than a square or round cutout from a sheepskin. That looks nice, but it’s a lot less comfortable to sit on. My chair cushions, on the other hand, are extra-padded and feature a luxurious finish on the back. That extra padding ensures a wonderfully soft seating experience and reduces pressure on your sit bones, so you’ll stay comfortable even during a long evening at the table or a day working from home.

A seat cushion, not a decorative pillow

Note the difference: a sheepskin chair cushion is not the same as a sheepskin decorative pillow. A decorative pillow is designed differently and almost always has thicker filling or an inner cushion, which means you won’t be comfortable sitting on it for long. A seat cushion, on the other hand, is subtly padded—just enough to allow you to sit comfortably for extended periods. So if you’re looking for true seating comfort, choose a seat cushion.

What kinds of sheepskin chair cushions are available?

My chair cushions are square, 40x40 cm, and made from different types of sheepskin:

• Icelandic sheepskin in brown, white, and black: known for its beautiful long hair. Depending on your chair, the hair drapes beautifully over the edges, creating a playful, luxurious effect.
• British and Dutch sheepskins: with shorter, denser wool. Thanks to that higher wool density, they offer just a little more seating comfort.

This way, you can choose the look and feel that best suits your chair and interior.

How to use a sheepskin chair cushion

A chair cushion is surprisingly versatile:

• On your dining chairs: sit more comfortably while eating, with a stylish touch.
• On your office chair: extra comfort for long hours of (remote) work.

Sustainably produced—nothing goes to waste

My tanneries regularly have sheepskins that don’t qualify as top-grade, for example due to an irregular shape, a small hole, or a tear. Since those skins aren’t suitable for use as interior decor, I have them made into these chair cushions instead. The tannery works around the defect, ensuring that only the most beautiful and best parts are used. This way, even this pelt isn’t wasted and still gets a nice spot in your home.

Pair them with your other hides and furs

Want to add even more ambiance and warmth? Combine your chair cushions with other natural hides and furs. For example, place a large cowhide on the floor—such as a tricolor or brown-and-white cowhide—choose a warm sheepskin for more wool texture, or subtly enhance your interior with a rabbit skin. Combining different textures creates a warm, playful, yet luxurious effect.
