Uniquely tanned for a silky soft feel and pleasant smell
Our sheepskins are tanned in a unique way that focuses on softness, scent and longevity. Thanks to multiple brushing and careful treatment of the wool and leather, they feel silky soft and retain their beautiful natural sheen.
A feature of our premium sheepskins is the pleasant smell. We noticed that many sheepskins on the market have a typical farm smell, something that often occurs with (cheaper) skins that have only gone through a limited tanning process. If you place such a fleece in your home, you will smell it throughout the room. Not really what you are looking for for your interior.
We do things a little differently. In collaboration with our tanners we have looked at the entire tanning process, and with some targeted adjustments we have managed to give our sheepskins a subtle / neutral scent. This allows you to give your new sheepskin a place in your home and enjoy it immediately.

Frequently asked questions about sheepskins
1. Are the sheepskins real or fake?
All our sheepskins are 100% real. We do not offer synthetic or imitation furs. You always buy and receive a real sheepskin.
2. Can I also use a sheepskin for my dog or cat?
Absolutely. Dogs and cats love the warmth and softness of a sheepskin. We even have a separate collection with special sheepskins for dogs and cats.
3. How do I choose the right size sheepskin?
First decide where you want to use the fleece (chair, sofa, floor, bed, children's room, etc.). The size is mentioned with each fleece on the site.
4. What is the difference between the types of wool (short, medium, long, curly)?
Long wool (such as Icelandic fleeces) gives a playful and luxurious effect. Medium length is practical and decorative, while short shorn or curly wool is more compact and often used for functional or medical use.
5. Can I reserve a sheepskin?
No, it is not possible to reserve sheepskins. Only one of each sheepskin is available (unless otherwise indicated). So if the fleece you have seen is no longer on the webshop, it really is sold.
6. How do I maintain my sheepskin?
Shake out the coat from time to time and, if desired, you can comb it occasionally with a special wool comb. For small stains you can use a damp clean cloth. For extensive maintenance we have a separate page: Sheepskin cleaning/maintenance.
7. Can a sheepskin go in the washing machine?
No. We strongly advise against washing a sheepskin in the washing machine. This affects the leather and wool structure. Read why here. For cleaning tips, please visit our care page.
8. Can I use the sheepskin outdoors?
You can, for example on your lounge set or garden chair. Just make sure that the fleece is dry and bring it inside in case of rain or damp conditions. Leather is not very resistant to moisture.
9. Are sheepskins a by-product?
Yes. Sheepskins are a by-product of the meat industry. By tanning and reusing them, we make sure nothing goes to waste.
10. Can I return my order if the coat doesn't fit?
Yes, you have 30 days to review your sheepskin. Is it not entirely to your liking? Then you can easily return it, provided it is undamaged and unused. View all return conditions here.
