A cow might have brushed against barbed wire in the pasture, or a small imperfection might occur during the processing and tanning process. The tannery carefully removes and repairs such spots so that the hide continues to look its best. If there is still something visible, it’s honestly noted in the product description, so you’ll never be faced with any surprises.
