How can you use a large sheepskin?
A large sheepskin has many different uses. One of the most common uses is as a luxurious mood enhancer for your interior. Do you just have a new interior but something is still missing? Then a natural decoration such as a sheepskin can add a fine homely, cozy and warm atmosphere.
Perfect for on the couch, in your chair and lounge set
You can use the large coats for your sofa. Lovely if you want to sit extra soft and comfortable. Because these coats are extra large, you can often hang them over the banister and place them partly on the seating surface and because they are so large they will not easily slide off the sofa. This allows you to sit comfortably for longer periods and enjoy a nice relaxing moment with a nice cup of tea, a good book or bing-watching an entire series. You can also hang the sheepskin over the back of your sofa for more atmosphere.
Do you have a lazy chair that you can sit back and relax in? Then you can make it even more comfortable by putting a big soft sheepskin in it. This will have you dozing off in no time.
Do you like to sit outside? Then you can also use the fleeces for your lounge set, so you can sit outside comfortably during the BBQ or when you just want to enjoy the sunshine. Please note that sheepskins cannot be left outside in rain or moisture. They prefer a dry environment.
Use the large coats as rugs
Besides that you can use the XXL sheepskins perfectly on your sofa and for in your chair, you can also use them as a rug. For example, put a large sheepskin in front of your sofa or chair, so you no longer have cold feet and the slippers can stay in the closet.
In addition, you can also lay them down in front of the fireplace as a decorative rug. Wool is naturally flame-resistant and offers a higher fire safety compared to synthetic materials. Don't put it too close to the fireplace, of course. If you would like to place the sheepskin near your fireplace, it is advisable to rotate its position every now and then and moisten it with water spray from the plant sprayer.
Use the sheepskin as a rug for your pet
Did you know that sheepskin can also be used as a rug / bed for your pet? Dogs and cats prefer to lie on a soft sheepskin. The sheepskin absorbs the body temperature. Sheepskin is warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Would you like to use a large sheepskin for your pet? Then you can use it in the bench and basket. But you can also put the fleece directly on the floor. If you want to put it directly on the floor then it is advisable to regularly take the sheepskin off its place, pat it out and air it.
How big is an XXL sheepskin?
Our large coats fall under the denominator XXL if they are +/- 130cm or larger in length. We also measure the wool. The length of a sheepskin can reach up to 150cm.
What kinds of XXL sheepskins are there?
There are more than 900 different breeds of sheep. Each breed has its own unique characteristics. For example, there are sheep with the well-known long wool, the nice warm compact wool but also with characteristic curls. Besides the characteristic wool, each breed is also unique in size. Not every breed of sheep becomes an XXL sheep simply because the breed in question does not have the genetic predisposition to do so.
Sheepskins that are mostly available in a larger size are Icelander skins, but also the classic white and brown skins. Sometimes beautiful brown and white coats are also available in XXL size.
